Biography
Anita manages two of Illinois Retina's Offices, Joliet and Hinsdale. She joined Illinois Retina in 1993 as a receptionist and quickly moved to a financial position that led the way in January 2000 to a position in the newly created Central Billing Office. Anita worked to help create a successful independent financial department for Illinois Retina. A year later she became District Manager of the Joliet and Hinsdale offices. In addition to her management activities, Anita is on the Corporate Compliance Committee and is the practice’s HIPAA Compliance Privacy Officer.
Anita was born and raised in Chicago along with eight siblings. She moved to the south suburbs with her husband Don where they raised their three children, who she feels is her biggest achievement. Her management experience comes from a major advertisement firm, where she managed the staff, budget and production of a yearly catalog and 24 monthly publications until the company relocated to North Carolina. Her management education is from a local college.
She is an active member of the Illinois Medical Group Management Association and of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Academy Network for Administrators and Managers.
Anita feels fortunate to be working in the medical field, a life dream, and to be part of an organization that is truly dedicated to excellent patient care.
