Biography
Cindy is the District Manager for the north offices of Illinois Retina Associates, Lincoln Park, Skokie and the Oak Park locations. As well as her management activities, additional corporate responsibilities for the practice include Compliance Officer, medical and procedural coding, OSHA Regulations and Clinical Education.
Originally from north suburban Chicago, Cindy graduated from Loyola University with a B.S. in Nursing. After her initial hospital experience with post-surgical patient care, she joined a Chicago area retinal practice as private scrub nurse and manager.
In 1987, a practice merger brought her to Illinois Retina Associates where her responsibilities began to grow and expand to additional office locations. Even though her management responsibilities are quite vast, Cindy remains involved in the patient care activities of the offices.
Cindy is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives, the Medical Group Management Association, American Society of Ophthalmic Registered Nurses and the Association of Chicagoland Ophthalmic Registered Nurses. She is a charter member and past president of the last group.
Cindy keeps very busy with the school and athletic activities of her teenage triplets. She also assists her husband, Peter, in his fund-raising activities to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Cindy likes home do-it-yourself type projects and loves to sew.
