Dr. Pauline Merrill and her research team were announced as the #1 recruiting site in the world(out of 149 eligible sites!) for the SAKURA study.
The SAKURA study is a A Phase III, Multinational, Multicenter, Randomized, Double-Masked, Study for the Treatment of Active, Non-Infectious Uveitis. Uveitis is swelling of the middle later of the eye, which is called the “uvea”. Uveitis is a rare condition and it is classified based on the location of the inflammation. Phase III will evaluate the investigational drug sirolimus for the treatment of non infectious posterior uveitis.
