Following graduation, she completed a dedicated year of ophthalmic research at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit.
Dr. Gupta earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a Transitional Year internship at Beaumont Health in Dearborn, Michigan. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Gupta subsequently completed fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, one of the nation’s leading ophthalmology training institutions.
Throughout her training, Dr. Gupta distinguished herself through leadership, education, and scholarly achievement. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Gupta has received numerous honors recognizing her excellence in patient care and research, as well as her dedication to resident education during fellowship.
