Illinois Retina Associates is proud to recognize Dr. Kourous Rezaei’s distinguished participation as an invited speaker and moderator at the prestigious 2026 Retina World Congress (RWC) Meeting, held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. RWC is one of the premier retina meetings in the world in which top retina specialists from around the globe are invited to share the newest advancements in the field of retina.
Dr. Rezaei is one of the founders of the RWC meeting, currently serving as one of the Past Presidents, and a member of the Executive Committee. He is one of the curators of the forward-thinking program UNPLUGGED, which showcases the next-generation of treatment and imaging technologies currently under clinical evaluation. Presentations from global biotech companies focused on emerging therapies for dry macular degeneration, wet age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and rare inherited retinal diseases. Dr. William Boyd, Director of the Division of Ophthalmology at the US FDA was the invited Keynote Speaker at the event.
Beyond innovation, Dr. Rezaei led a dynamic educational initiative aimed at enhancing surgical education for retina specialists.
