Dr. Sohail Hasan Participates at 68th Annual Meeting of the American Eye Study Club (AESC) in Whistler, British Columbia

Illinois Retina Associates is proud to recognize Sohail Hasan MD, PhD, FACS, FASRS, FRCSC, who recently participated in the 68th Annual Meeting of the American Eye Study Club (AESC) in Whistler, British Columbia.
Dr. Hasan presented "Federal Advocacy Update: Protecting Ophthalmology in a Changing Health Care Landscape," providing an overview of the latest federal legislative and regulatory issues affecting ophthalmology and patient care. His presentation highlighted current advocacy priorities of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, including Medicare physician payment reform, prior authorization reform, protection of veterans' eye care, and ongoing efforts to preserve patient access to high-quality ophthalmic care.
Dr. Hasan is a partner at Illinois Retina Associates, a member practice of Retina Consultants of America(RCA), a Cencora company. He also serves as Chair of OPHTHPAC, the American Academy of Ophthalmology's federal political action committee, and as Chair of the Retina Consultants of America Advocacy Committee, helping lead national advocacy initiatives on behalf of retina specialists and their patients.
The American Eye Study Club is one of the nation's premier ophthalmic organizations, bringing together leaders in academic and private practice ophthalmology for scientific exchange, professional development, and lifelong learning. During the meeting, Dr. Hasan also connected with colleagues from across North America, including fellow members of the Retina Consultants of America Advocacy Committee, continuing collaborative efforts to advance ophthalmic advocacy and patient care.
