Dr. Sohail Hasan Presents at New York State Ophthalmological Society’s Envision 2025 Meeting
Illinois Retina Associates and Retina Consultants of America are proud to recognize Dr. Sohail Hasan for his recent participation in the New York State Ophthalmological Society’s (NYSOS) Envision 2025 meeting, held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Marina Del Rey in the Bronx, NY.
Dr. Hasan delivered a featured presentation titled:
“Shaping Policy and Protecting Patients: Advocacy for Ophthalmology at the State and Federal Levels”
As Chair of OPHTHPAC and the RCA Advocacy Subcommittee, Dr. Hasan discussed how ophthalmologists can play a central role in influencing healthcare policy to protect patients, strengthen physician autonomy, and advance the profession. Drawing on real-world experience, his talk emphasized the practical impact of advocacy at both the state and federal levels. The presentation was well attended and warmly received by a diverse audience of New York ophthalmologists.
In addition to delivering the talk, Dr. Hasan had the opportunity to engage with many ophthalmologists throughout the event, including several leaders of NYSOS:
